Ricky Martin in the throes of shocking accusations! He faces up to 50 years in prison!
This is no mistake. Such a verdict could come if it turns out to be true that the musician committed incest. This is another accusation against him in recent days.
The singer has been in the news lately. However, not because of his musical career. Ricky Martin was sued at the end of June by his former manager, Rebecca Drucker, who accused him of failing to pay a commission owed to her. The lawsuit is for $3 million. Now there are further accusations, seemingly even more serious — Martin allegedly sexually abused his nephew. And this, under the law, could result in imprisonment of up to 50 years. It is not known, at this point, whether the two cases have anything to do with each other. A representative for the musician spoke out.
Ricky Martin accused by former manager
The troubles of 50-year-old Ricky Martin, a father of three and a singer best known for his hit song “Livin’ La Vida Loca,” just began with his affair with Rebecca Drucker. The woman was scheduled to file a lawsuit in the Central District Court in Los Angeles on June 29 over unpaid commissions. She is demanding $3 million. With the whole case, she spoke enigmatically about other facts that, thanks to her, did not come to light and, if they had, could have even resulted in the end of Martin’s career.
Ricky Martin accused of sexual abuse and incest
At the beginning of July, in turn, there were further allegations against the Puerto Rican artist. This time he was accused of domestic violence and was given a restraining order against the person he was alleged to have used violence against. The person in question may have just been Ricky Martin’s 21-year-old nephew, or Dennis Yadiel Sanchez.
Now it turns out that Ricky was also alleged to have committed sexual violence against his nephew. Being in an incestuous relationship and/or forcing sexual contact for up to 7 months. For which he faces up to 50 years in prison in Puerto Rico. A hearing on the case will be held as early as July 21, so we may learn more soon.
Meanwhile, the singer’s lawyer, Marty Singer, issued a statement yesterday assuring that his client had no sexual or romantic relationship with his nephew. He called the allegation untrue, as well as disgusting. And he attributed the reasons for the accusations to Sanchez’s mental state.
However, it remains to wait to see what the court determines to be true in this case based on the evidence gathered.
